It works! Yes. The thread on the screw that goes in is very shallow and surprised if this thing survives long. It seems to work fine for now and making it sort of reusable not that i need to “reuse” it.
Replacing the vehicle manufacturer ones which in my opinion are even more poor in design and once taken out it is of no use to put them back in.
I was installing a back-up camera and had to remove the original panels.
Will see how long this thing lasts.

A superior replacement to what most car manufacturers use which are a cimpression system that then has a barb that locks into the insert and they aside from being difficult to remove, the more times you remove them, the more the barb gets ground down until they’re useless, and that’s if they don’t simply break the first time you pull them out.
I’m very happy with these and will use them on my 4-wheeler, dirt bike, car, mom’s suv etc.
